Open Day

Image description

On Saturday, September 23, we were delighted to welcome 800 guests from Freiburg and all over Germany. Host families got a chance to meet their host students, parents living in Germany could get a first-hand impression of their child’s new “home”, and locals not knowing UWC were able to learn about the movement and our diversity concept. Like every year, the German National Committee was present with an info booth for potential applicants. Students had prepared a culture show, a food bazaar with food from all over the world, they led guests over campus on student tours and invited them to participate in experiments in the labs or workshops with our garden team. It was a great way to connect with Freiburg, we are looking forward to next year’s event!
