A UWC is not only based on the commitment of volunteers, but also on the support of partners who make the educational project possible. The Robert Bosch Stiftung GmbH and UWC Germany have founded a non-profit limited liability company, Robert Bosch College UWC GmbH.<\/p>\n<\/div>\t\t\t\t\t\t

Both foundations are partners of the GmbH. Three committees steer the development of UWC Robert Bosch College: the shareholders’ meeting, consisting of representatives of the Robert Bosch Stiftung and UWC Germany, the board and the management of the school.<\/p>\n<\/div>\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n\t<\/section>\n\n\n

UWC Germany <\/h3>\t\t\t\t\t

Together with the Robert Bosch Stiftung, UWC Germany is a partner of Robert Bosch College UWC GmbH. Every year, the foundation based in Berlin offers around 50 young people from Germany the opportunity to spend the last two school years of secondary education at a UWC. Since its establishment in 1995, UWC Germany has been responsible for selecting applicants and funding the scholarships.<\/p>\n

Focal points of the foundation’s work<\/h6>\n

In addition to fundraising, the foundation’s work also focuses on public relations, supporting the sponsored students and their parents and working with the Colleges and the international UWC organization. UWC International receives prominent support: Queen Noor of Jordan is President of the movement, and Nelson Mandela was Honorary President of the United World Colleges until his death in 2013. UWC Germany’s offices are located in Berlin. Robert Bosch Foundation <\/h4>\t\t\t\t\t

The Robert Bosch Stiftung is active in the areas of health, education, and global issues. Through its funding, the Foundation works for a just and sustainable future. It is non-profit, independent and non-partisan and is rooted in the legacy of Robert Bosch. In his legacy, the entrepreneur and founder formulated the dual mission of securing the company’s future and continuing his social commitment.<\/p>\n

Support on international and local level<\/h6>\n

The Robert Bosch Stiftung GmbH maintains its own facilities, develops innovative projects, and provides support at both the international and local level. The Foundation contributes findings from these projects to the professional world and public debate. The Foundation holds around 94 percent of the shares in Robert Bosch GmbH and is financed by dividends. The company and the Foundation are independent of each other.
