Biomimicry, Biology and The Future of Work

For the first time in months, we’ve hosted an event on campus last Thursday. “The Nature of Work: A Work of Nature“: 20 guests and 10 RBC participants were invited to take a closer look at the future of work in this special summer salon dialogue series by Freiburg-based moderator Beata Frenzel. Inspired by impulses through biomimicry expert Dr. Arndt Pechstein – who joined us digitally from Berlin – and biologist Dr. Ulrich Lohmann, the participants dove into discussions and conversations, also taking into account what we can learn from nature when shaping tomorrow’s workplaces.

To keep a distance from each other, we used the beautiful grass area behind the Auditorium to engage in small group discussions, learning from each other and sharing perspectives. Very grateful to have been the host of this event, and to have some of our students and alumni present.
