Last day of Winter Break

Students must return to campus by 19:00. Classes resume January 8.

Project Week

Some groups may depart earlier or return later. Campus is closed from 12:00 on Sunday until 16:00 on Friday.

Host Family Weekend

Campus is closed from 10:00 on Saturday until 17:00 on Sunday.

Spring Break

Students may depart the evening of April 1 after their last commitment. Campus remains open throughout Spring Break. Students must return to campus by 19:00 on April 12.

Closing Ceremony

time will be communicated via email in spring 2026.

Departure for Second-Years

Second-year students must depart campus by 12:00.

Start of Summer Break for first-year students.

Campus closes at 10:00. (Students may depart on June 18 after 18:00 but would miss the end-of- year dinner.)

Student Arrival

Incoming flights to Frankfurt will be met by prior arrangement. Students arriving at Basel Airport should take the airport bus to Freiburg train station. Similarly, students arriving in Freiburg by train or bus will be met by prior arrangement

Campus opens at 10 a.m.; students must return by 7 p.m.
