Needs-based Scholarship Program

Students are selected regardless of financial background

All students at UWC Robert Bosch College are selected regardless of their parent’s financial situation. According to an income assessment carried out by the National Committees, around 140 young people generally require a full scholarship at RBC, and a further 50 or so a partial scholarship. This is made possible by a strong network of sponsors and supporters. Thanks to the scholarship program, RBC is home to a great diversity of people with different cultural, religious and socio-economic backgrounds. This promotes learning with and from one other.

Our scholarship Program

Our scholarship program guarantees all successful applicants a place at RBC.

96% of students at RBC receive a scholarship, 65% of them a full scholarship.

Thanks to the scholarship program, we are able to live and strengthen diversity at our school.

Voices of our sponsors

The two years I spent in Freiburg have been monumental for my personal development and any success and happiness I have felt since. Coming from a family of modest means, I would not have been able to join the UWC movement without the full scholarship I was fortunate to receive. I get emotional thinking about the donors, teachers, and peers who have given their money, time, passion, compassion, and care in order for me to receive this exceptional educational experience. As such, it was a very easy decision to give back to the RBC community and I hope to be able to continue to donate every month for the rest of my life.

We are a non-profit organization

UWC Robert Bosch College is a non-profit organization financed by public funds and private donations. The school is made possible by the support of UWC Germany, the Robert Bosch Foundation, the State of Baden-Württemberg, the City of Freiburg, B. Braun Melsungen AG and the Heidehof Foundation. Since our foundation in 2014, numerous large and small donors have joined, some of whom finance scholarships for students or sponsor one of our buildings. Thanks to this support, we are able to cover the running costs of the school and ensure that young people receive a place regardless of their financial background.
