UWC ROBERT BOSCH COLLEGE

Germany’s first and only United World College opened its doors in September 2014 and is a project of the Robert Bosch Foundation and UWC Germany. Located in Freiburg, UWC Robert Bosch College offers places to 200 residential students from all over the world. Find out who we are and what we stand for. More about us

Since the early 1950s, National Committees in many countries have been working on selecting students from a wide range of backgrounds and with different possibilities regarding future paths. But at first it was hardly considered that children have very different starting conditions to make themselves seem suitable. It is only in the last decade that a deliberate change has taken place: Now we are trying to select young people among the applicants who have already achieved remarkable results, measured against their requirements. This is something completely different than having remarkably good conditions in the first place.

Rektor Laurence Nodder in an interview with the German weekly ZEIT
