Ecological Federal Volunteer Service

UWC Robert Bosch College is located on an approximately 10-hectare site on an exposed hillside. In a small area,you will find a richly structured land use that has grown over the centuries with the corresponding diversity of flora and fauna. At the heart of the site is a 2,000 m² garden that has been continuously cultivated for 500 years.

We are looking for interested candidates (m, f, d) for the ECOLOGICAL FEDERAL VOLUNTARY SERVICE, to help us maintain the large school garden and the green spaces on campus.

YOUR TASKS:
There are a variety of tasks throughout campus where support is needed. In detail these are e.g. the following activities:
– Garden and landscape maintenance, maintenance of all areas
– Tree care
– Wild herbs / weed control
– Watering / water management
– Garden signage / garden map
– Cooperation / maintaining contact with external partners
– Animal care / rotational grazing
– Mowing the lawn
– Assistance in the school forest / driving services for pupils:inside
– Construction projects (fences, steps, terraces, walls,…)
– Coordination of school events
– Support for guided tours of the garden for visitors
