We are looking for families in and around Freiburg who would like to host an international student in their home for two weekends a year.

A bridge into the city of Freiburg

The host family program gives our students an insight into everyday family life outside of the school “bubble”. For many students, their host family becomes a piece of home in Germany and friendships often last beyond the two school years.

How does the program work?

Two weekends per year

As a host family, you take the time to host a student on two fixed weekends each year (October & March). If you are not available on one of the host family weekends, you can still register. We will find a solution.

Meet and greet

After registering to the program, you will get to know your host student on an introductory day at the College in October.

Additional meetings possible

In addition, further meetings with your host child are possible at any time – depending on time and availability from both sides.

Exchange

Through the program, you will get to know young people from other countries and get insight into the everyday life of the students on campus when you come to events at the College.
