“Heim und Flucht” Orchestra Performs at “Kultur in der Kartause”

An Evening of Music, Socializing, and Students from UWC Robert Bosch College

Saturday, November 28, 2026 | 8:00 p.m.–10:00 p.m.

The next edition of “Kultur in der Kartause” will focus on connection: The Heim und Flucht Orchestra will visit the campus of UWC Robert Bosch College and, together with our students, put on a special concert evening.

Founded in Freiburg by musician Ro Kuijpers, the orchestra brings together young people from the region and people with refugee backgrounds through making music together. More than 130 musicians from all over the world have already been part of the project. The name says it all: The Heim und Flucht Orchestra sees itself as a place for encounters and exchange across countries, languages, and cultures.

With a lineup of usually 10 to 15 musicians, the orchestra blends diverse musical influences into a lively sound that invites listeners to listen, dance, and come together. For the evening at the Kartause, the orchestra will perform alongside students from the RBC.

Doors open at 7:30 p.m. Before the concert begins, our students will be offering short campus tours starting at 7:00 p.m. Refreshments and snacks will be provided.

The evening is part of the “Kultur in der Kartause” event series and combines music, social interaction, and the international character of UWC Robert Bosch College.
