Students arrive on August 28: Welcome to RBC!

RBC starts a new term: On Thursday, August 28, we welcome back the 11th generation of students and meet for the first time our new cohort, the 12th generation of students.

Together, they will form a student community of 202 from 89 different countries. A few countries are new on the list, such as Belize, the Dominican Republic, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, and
Mozambique.

With our students traveling to Freiburg from all over the world, we have a dedicated team working closely with the students and their National Committees to arrange visa appointments and travel arrangements. Every year, we celebrate the arrival of our students, knowing how hard it is for many of them to get here!

The first ten days after arrival are dedicated to our Student Orientation, which is a preparation to life in Germany and on our UWC campus. Orientation includes a Welcome Assembly, meetings in Tutor Groups, community building and peace building exercises and an introduction to CAS and academics, just to name a few. While first-years stay on campus, second-years spent a few days in the outdoors, reflecting their role as a generation during a camping trip to the Black Forest.

For all students, the academic year starts on Monday, September 8th.
